Breathable airtightness tape - Ampacoll XT - 60/100mm x 25m

Ampacoll XT breathable airtightness tape is:-

• a universal, single sided, tear-resistant, acrylic adhesive tape.
• suitable for internal and external use, in corners and apexes.
• highly adhesive and suitable for bonding all types of membranes as well as boards.
• suitable for winter application down to -5 degrees C.
• resistant to exposure for up to 4 months.

Where is it used?

• Ampacoll XT can be used internally or externally and has been optimised to withstand the more challenging conditions found externally.
• The breathable tape is suitable for taping all types of internal and external breathable membranes and vapour control membranes.
• Ampacoll XT can be used for taping all types of timber boards such OSB, ply, MDF and wood fibre boards with the use of primer.

How is it used?

• Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of dust before the tape is applied. 
• The paper backing needs to be peeled off prior to use and can either be cut to length and then applied or applied straight off of the roll.
• On lightly textured boards like OSB a roller should be used to firmly press the tape into position. 
• If you are taping to concrete/masonry or wood fibre boards the Ampacoll Primax Primer should be applied and left to dry first. This ensures that the tape will stick properly to these surfaces.

How much will I need?

• Each roll of Ampacoll XT tape is 60mm wide and 25m long. 
• For taping OSB boards allow 4-5m per m2 of wall/roof. 
• For membranes allow 1-2m per m2.

This product can be bought by the 60mm x 25m roll or in boxes of 10 rolls (10% cheaper than single roll cost) or by the 100mm x 25m roll or in boxes of 4 rolls (10% cheaper than a single roll)
