ideal for fixing all solid insulation boards to masonry substrates.
for fixing the UdiFRONT system to brickwork, blockwork or Porotherm.
Where are they used
UdiASSEMBLY Expanding hammer fixings are suitable for internal or external use on to all types of dense masonry including brick, stone, dense concrete block, Porotherm and in to rendered surfaces.
These fixings are not suitable for lightweight concrete blocks or soft brick and should only be used on flat surfaces.
How are they used?
Firmly hold your insulation board in the desired position.
Using an 8mm drill bit, drill through the board and at least 65mm in to the substrate and then clear the hole by moving the dril back and forth 2-3 times.
Insert the fixing in to the hole so that the collar is flat against the surface of the board and the board is firmly against the substrate. Gently hammer in the plug in the centre of the fixing until flush with the surface.
How many will you need?
Each box contains 100 fixings. Depending on the system, you will need between 6 and 9 fixings per square metre.
Sizes refer to insulation thickness, not screw length.
