“A good tough finish render that gives a nice, uniform finish to rendered surfaces and is suitable for use right down to the ground” – Chris Brookman

Product overview.

Where is it used?

  • UdiPERL fine finish render can be used as a finish coat render on all main wall areas, including plinth areas.
  • It can be applied on to UdiFOUNDATION COAT, old and new mineral renders (lime and cement renders), organic base coat renders and forms the external surface of the UdiFRONT external insulation system with the 15 year guarantee package.

How do I use it?

  • UdiPERL fine finish render should be gently whisked in it’s tub prior to use to ensure a homogeneous consistency.
  • Surfaces should be clean, dry, free from dust and stable.
  • All surfaces should be pre-treated with UdiPERL Primer at least 24 hours before application.
  • The UdiPERL fine finish render is applied with a stainless steel trowel and troweled back to the grit thickness.
  • The surface is then finished with a PVC float using small circular motions.
  • For the best finish apply and finish each panel continuously, without breaks. It is best to use the same person to finish the whole of each panel to avoid differences in texture mid way.
  • UdiPERL fine finish render should only be used when temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius and away from strong, drying winds and direct sunlight. Because the material has to dry out to harden and cure, if the atmospheric humidity is very high and temperature is low drying times will be longer.
Technical Details

How much will you need?

  • UdiPERL fine finish render has a density of 1.9kg per mm per m² (1mm thickness of plaster over 1m²). Each 25kg tub of 1.5mm will cover up to 9m², the 2mm will cover up to 7m² and the 3mm will cover up to 5.5m².

How long does it take to set?

  • Setting times vary with temperature and humidity but in the summer the product will usually be dry enough to resist a shower in a 4-6 hours and sets hard over the next few weeks.
  • In winter the initial drying to resist showers may be extended to more than one day so the finished surface must be protected from dust and rain.

Material in action.

This is a close up image of the surface of the UdiPERL render. It is a slightly more grainy finish than some of the Baumit renders but this gives it a very matt finish and makes it very robust.
