for reinforcing renders on facades around windows and doors openings.
perfect for ensuring stable and crack free corners on all openings.
used with all thin layer renders from Baumit.
Where is it used?
Baumit arrow mesh stress patches are a fibreglass mesh piece that is bedded in to the base coat render on all Baumit thin layer render systems.
It sits on the outer face in the top corners of all openings and the bottom corners of window openings, ensuring that no cracks form in the outer face of the openings.
This is used in conjunction with Baumit StarTex mesh and Baumit PVC corner beads to ensure crack free openings.
How are they used?
The Baumit arrow mesh stress patches should be installed after the main mesh has been applied.
Whilst the render is still wet (immediately after the main mesh has been troweled in) the mesh should be placed in the corners of the openings and troweled in so that it is no longer visible on the surface of the render.
Apply a very thin layer over (less than 1mm) whilst the render is wet if required.
For more information see our how-to video above (skip to 7 mins to see how to install them).
How many do I need?
We would suggest that you use one Baumit arrow mesh stress patch in both top corners of each opening and the bottom corners of window openings.
