Where is it used?
EBB PCM Boards are best used in ceilings but can be used in walls too.
They are best kept away from wet areas such as shower or bath enclosures.
How is it used?
EBB PCM Clay boards should be fixed using either drywall screws or stainless screws (depending on plaster to be applied) to a timber frame at a maximum of 417mm centres for ceiling and wall applications, 36mm plastic washers should also be used for ceiling applications.
As with all boarding, vertical joints should be staggered by at least one stud to avoid cracking.
Once the EBB PCM Clay boards are installed they can be plastered with either lime based plasters (use stainless steel fixings), clay based plasters (normal drywall screws are fine for this) or even gypsum plasters.
The joints should be reinforced with 100mm wide reinforcing, bedded in the plaster, although fully meshing the first coat of plaster is best.
How much will you need?
The EBB Clay boards are currently 1250 x 625mm and 22mm thick and cover an area of 0.78 m2.
For each square metre you will need 1.28 sheets plus any wastage allowance, normally at least 5%
This product is available by the 1250 x 625mm board or by the pallet of 50 boards (15% discount on single board)
