Variable vapour control layer and airtightness membrane - UdiSTEAM 10 plus

    • UdiSTEAM 10 plus variable vapour control layer is:-
      • perfect for ensuring the correct moisture flow through building structures.
      • an easy to use membrane for providing a continuous internal air tightness layer.
      • an innovative, highly tear resistant fleece membrane that changes permeability according to humidity.
      • supplied with a self adhesive edge option for fast installation.

      Where is it used?

      • On the inside of timber frames/dry lining or on the inside of roof structures. 
      • On the outside of purlins or other structural timbers to link up sections of air tightness layer.

      How do I use it?

      • UdiSTEAM 10 plus variable vapour control layer can be stapled/taped to the underside of rafters or the inside of timber battens/studs prior to being boarded over or counter battened. 
      • Once each row of membrane is in place simply tape the joints with UdiSTEAM Elastoflex tape or UdiSTEAM Tex tape. If using the self adhesive rolls simply remove the plastic strip from the self adhesive edge and press together with adjacent row. 
      • All joints should overlap by at least 100mm and the perimeter should be taped with UdiSTEAM Tex tape prior to counter battening or being over boarded with plaster board. 
      • Once the joints are taped it forms an air tight, moisture regulating layer.

      How much will you need?

      • Each roll of UdiSTEAM 10 plus variable vapour control layer is 50m long and 1.5m wide. It covers an area of 75m2 without accounting for overlaps.
    Each roll of UdiSTEAM 10 plus is 1.5m wide and 50m long.
