Wet-process and dry-process wood fibre boards may look the same on the surface but there are a few differences that we think our customers should be aware of when selecting wood fibre insulation boards.
An overview of the innovative and unique UdiRECO wood fibre insulation boards. This board can adapt to uneven surfaces, removing the need for a levelling render to be applied. UdiRECO can be used internally with UdiMULTIGRUND, a special vapour control plaster. Externally it uses the UdiPERL rrender system.
In this video we run through the very important detailing around windows and window sills. The sills must project over the final surface by at least 40mm and this often means you need to put on deeper sills. This can be done by using the UdiALU sills or by extending existing sills.
This video shows the basics of fixing the wood fibre boards on to a timber frame and how to fix the boards and how to cut out around windows and doors. Most of the same principles apply to fixing to masonry but you must be careful that there are no voids behinds the boards.
