Steico SoundStrip 10m – Acoustic and thermal perimeter insulation
Steico SoundStrip is:-
- a high density, 100mm wide strip of flexible wood fibre insulation
- ideal for perimeter insulation to new stud walling to prevent flanking sound transmission
- suitable for perimeter thermal insulation around the Lithotherm underfloor heating system
- suitable for reducing thermal bridging around window and door openings.
Product overview
Where is it used?
- Steico SoundStrip can be used around new timber partitions, ceilings and floors to reduce flanking noise transmission and to reduce thermal bridging.
- It can also be used as thermal and expansion perimeter insulation for the Lithotherm underfloor heating system.
How is it used?
- Steico SoundStrip can be glued, stapled or tacked with small nails, to surfaces.
- When used with timber stud walling, fix a strip of the SoundStrip to the entire perimeter of the construction, prior to fixing the sole and header plates, etc.
- For the Lithotherm underfloor heating system, run the SoundStrip around the entire perimeter of the system, where it abuts masonry, to the full depth of the tiles and the floor finish.
