What is the Specification Generator?

Back to Earth's Specification Generator is a database of over 200 typical sustainable building specifications used within construction of all types, whether new-build or retrofit.

Each specification includes all of the products required to complete the build-up, including insulation, vapour control membranes and tapes, renders and plasters and internal or external finishes. To help understand each specification further we have created 3d models showing the construction, which you can manipulate to see exactly how it all fits together.

These sustainable building specifications are based on our extensive experience with the materials and backed up by U-value calculations and condensation risk analyses for each construction.

The specifications include materials such as Wood fibre insulation, Clay boards, Airtightness tapes & membranes and Renders & plasters.
