Where is it used?

• Baumit DS26 Flex is used to water proof all plinth areas of EWI systems, both above and below ground.
• It can be used to waterproof balcony areas prior to tiling.
• It can also be used around window sill areas in EWI systems to prevent moisture ingress around sills.

How is it used?

• Baumit DS26 Flex should be slowly added to water, whilst being whisked with a plaster whisk, to form a smooth, lump free slurry. The handling time is around 1 hour.
• The slurry is applied with a brush, roller or sprayer to a solid, continuous surface. The surface should be free of holes, projections, flaky material, dirt, efflorescence and damp.
• Once the first coat has dried a second coat can be applied.
• Baumit DS26 Flex should be fully cured (1-3 days) before soil/gravel is backfilled against the surface or before window sills are installed if used around windows.

How much will you need?

Baumit DS26 Flex has a density of 2.4kg per mm per m² (1mm thickness of plaster over 1m²). Each 20kg bag will cover around 7m² at 1mm thickness which is the thickness required to prevent splash back penetration at plinth level and typically achieved by application of two brushed on slurry coats.
