Product overview.

Where is it used?

  • Beltermo Room wood fibre boards are square edged and used for internal solid wall insulation or for direct fixing to boarded timber frames.
  • Beltermo Room can also be used to line CLT/LVL panelling and provide a plasterable surface.

How is it used?

  • Beltermo Room boards are always laid in a landscape orientation.
  • As internal solid wall insulation Beltermo Room boards should start at or above the external ground level and laid in a brick bond pattern with vertical joints overlapping by at least 300mm. They are not suitable for below ground use.
  • Apply a 5-10mm layer of Baumit Viton Fein plaster direct to the wall and comb with a knotched trowel to ensure and even thickness.
  • Where the surface is much rougher, flush-up the surface of the wall with either a lime plaster or the Baumit Viton Fein before applying the boards.
  • Once the boards are in the correct position they can be fixed with 5-6 masonry fixings, spaced evenly across the surface of the board.
  • Once the clay backing plaster has stiffened (usually 24 hours later) the UdiMULTIGRUND vapour regulating plaster can be applied to the surface. Apply a 4-5mm coat, incorporating the UdiREINFORCEMENT mesh and finish flat.
  • After 4-5 days the surface can be skimmed with a lime or clay skimming plaster.
